OB’s Terrific Debut at Summer Regionals 2019!

OB (AKA) Oliver Bradshaw travelled up to the UEA 50m competition pool in Norwich for his Junior Summer East Region Champ Debut.  The competition ran from 25 to 27 May 2019.  Qualifying for the 50m and 100m breaststroke events on the Sunday and Monday, OB as always pulled out a very gutsy performance in both the races.

OB’s first race was the 100m breaststroke.  He had a storming first 50m and turned in 43.68, and touched in 1.33.27 a magnificent new PB for Oliver – very well done!

In the 50m breaststroke OB touched in 43.48 – great racing from him over the 2 days and superb regional debut champs.

Tim Hutton – Director of Swimming said “For OB to qualify in 2 very tough events at 12 years of age, showed real guts and determination. To then travel all the way to Norwich and perform so well on a massive stage without other swimmers from DSC showed real courage – he was a superstar”.

DSC now focus on their junior league campaign that begins on Saturday 1st June in Teddington  – Best of luck to all swimmers.
