Dunstable Swimming Club were victorious in the final round of the Home Counties League on Saturday 27th March. Dunstable had the "home advantage" swimming at Dunstable Leisure Centre for the final round of the 3 round competition and used it to the max by finishing in first place in Gala 2.
Dunstable Swimming Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Ridout as its new Head Coach with effect from the 6th of April 2010.
Dave has been involved with Dunstable Swimming Club in various capacities over many years and we would like to wish him every success in his new position.
Dunstable Swimmers Enjoy Best County Championships for Years
The county championships have recently concluded with our swimmers achieving some fantastic results with a total of 12 Gold, 13 Silver and 17 Bronze Medals, surpassing last year's total of 10 Gold Medals.
Dunstable swimmers made a great start at the first weekend of the Bedfordshire ASA County Championships. 8 Gold Medals were taken back to Dunstable at the end of a hard weekend's competition, along with 6 Silvers and 10 Bronze.
Leading the charge were the "Golden Girls" of Kiera McNally and Emily Drawbridge with 3 Golds each. Hot on their heels were Jay Wilson and Ryan Curell with 1 Gold medal apiece.
Dunstable Swimming Club’s Chris Fisk recently competed at the DSE National swimming Championships at Ponds Forge Sheffield representing the Eastern Region team.
Dunstable travelled to Stafford once again for the 2nd round of the National Arena Swimming League. The team was strengthened by the return of a number of swimmers missing from the 1st round through injury/illness.
