Dunstable swimmer Lauren Hobbins swam to victory in all six of her events at the DSE Junior National Championships on 7th and 8th March 2009, held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

Swimming in the S13, SB13 and SM13 categories, Lauren managed to record 5 personal best times along the way to wins in the 50 & 100 freestyle, 50 and 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and in the 200 individual medley.  Her swims in the 50 BC, 100 BC and the 200 IM were good enough to set new East Region Records in her classification. This comes just a week after Lauren set a new British record for S13 1500 freestyle competing in the Beds County Championships.

Lauren also represented the ASA East Region in the 4 x 100 freestyle and 4 x 100 medley 60 point relays.

Adding to the success of the weekend, the East Region Team accumulated the most points at the meet to take the Novotel Sheffield Team Trophy

Lauren is currently on the British Swimming World Class Programme, Talent Level and looking to make the step up to Development level as soon as possible.
