The club championship’s for 2007 have recently concluded have been swim over three consecutive Saturday evening’s (17th, 24th November & 1st December). For this year, the format was changed to heat declared winners, this created room in the programme to include addition events, which were the 200m freestyle and the skins. Both events were well received, with the skins providing an exciting finale to the championships.
The age group championship winners will be announced at the presentation night on 12th January, but the following are some statistics about the championships: Total number of swimmers: 89 Total number of individual swims: 405 Total number of PB’s: 312 Number of Cups presented: 62 Number of Medals presented: 180 Number of Plaques presented: 110 Over 75% of the swims resulted in a PB, which shows that all the hard work in training has paid off. Well done to everyone who competed. |
