Chris Fisk breaks British Records |
|
Chris Fisk, firmly established himself as the premier swimmer in his class, not just winning all his events, but breaking the Disability British Short Course records at the same time.
Accepting a gruelling schedule of 11 events in the weekend Chris, who attends Luton Sixth Form College also anchored the Eastern Region relay team in both the 4 x 100 metre Medley relay and the 4 x 100m Freestyle relay.
The Disability Sports Events British Short Corce Championships attracted competitors from as far afield as Brazil, South Africa and Canada as well as a number of European nations. Despite this opposition, Chris remained unbeaten against in excess of 200 swimmers and achieved personal bests in 7 of his events.
Steve Threadgold, Dunstable Swimming Club Head Coach, commented that Chris can always be relied upon to give 100% and the Gold medals which he adds to his collection are the result of hard work over a period of time preparing for this event. |
