Dear DSC member,

As you are probably aware Central Bedfordshire Council are proposing to close Dunstable Leisure Centre for 18+ months from Summer 2017 for a refurbishment at a cost of £20.1m

Tim, Steve, and myself have met with the council executives in charge and have made several requests, all of which have been rejected.

The closure will have a massive impact on the club and the wider community.

CBC have just opened a brand new leisure centre at Flitwick which involved no loss of service and provides far better facilities than planned for Dunstable at a fraction of the cost.

The council will only listen if there are sufficient numbers who protest at this decision.

Please read the attached open letter and sign the e-petition.

Hopefully together we can persuade the council to a better decision.

Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

Doug Hose
