Dunstable Swimmers make the British Summer & Home Nation Championships!

Dunstable Swimming Club (DSC) would like to congratulate three dedicated swimmers who have achieved qualification in the British Championships and the English National Swimming Championships taking place during July and August 2015 at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

Eleanor King (15) represented DSC within the qualifying window at a number of swim meets including Luton, Basildon and Plymouth and qualified for English Home Nation Championships in the 50m Backstroke.

Emily Ridout (21) represented DSC within the qualifying window and achieved some excellent personal best times at the Cardiff International Swim Meet to qualify for British Championships in 50m Breaststroke and 50m Freestyle.

Dunstable’s Harry Constantine (14) who now also swims for Hatfield Swimming Club competed in Luton, Rotherham, Sheffield and Plymouth and achieved 5 British qualifying times in the 50m Backstroke, 100m Backstroke, 200m Backstroke, 50m Freestyle & 100m Freestyle. He also achieved 3 English Home Nation qualifying times in the 200m Freestyle, 400m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley.

DSC is delighted that three of its swimmers have achieved qualification at National standard for the 2015 summer season. (For the full report please go to the news section)

Welcome to Dunstable Swimming Club

Dunstable Swimming Club aims to promote the sport of swimming by providing a training program to help swimmers reach their full competitive potential according to their individual levels of ambition, ability and application.

The club caters for swimmers of all ages and abilities with a progressive coaching program leading through our squad structure. Various levels of competition are catered for with training tailored to suit, from in-house galas and team league competitions, through to county, regional and, ultimately, national competition level.

Be Part Of Team DSC

Dunstable Swimming Club currently has spaces in it’s Academy, if you have a keen youngster who is a budding Olympian of the future bring them along for a trial. Trial sessions for the Academy are every Tuesday at 7.45pm or Wednesday at 7.15pm at Dunstable Leisure Centre, and on Sunday mornings at 8am or Monday nights at 6.30pm at Houghton Regis Leisure Centre.  The Academy is aimed at children from the age of 7 who have reached a Stage 4-5 ASA standard or who have a basic ability in frontcrawl, backstroke and breaststroke.
