Biggleswade Open Meet Report
Dunstable Swimming Club had continued success this weekend against clubs from as far away as Lincoln at the Biggleswade Open Meet. Reese Housden picked up 3 golds in the 200m Breastroke and both the 50m Fly and Breastroke, along with a silver in the 400m Freestyle, narrowly missing out on gold by 2 seconds. Sam Mead was only just outside the medals in a very close 50m Backstroke race, missing out on a bronze by 0.14 seconds with a time that equalled his personal best. He also improved on his 200m Freestyle County qualifying time by a further 4 seconds with a new personal best. Lucy Cooke had an excellent weekend of swimming by improving on her personal best times in both the 100m Breastroke and 200m Backstroke by an impressive 9 seconds and by getting further personal best times in the 50m Breaststroke and Backstroke.It was Eleanor King's first time competing at an open meet where she achieved personal best times in her 50m Backstroke, Fly and Freestyle events, while Rachael Dawson also reached a new personal best time in the 100m Freestyle. Chantal Smith also put in a sterling performance with personal best times in the 100m Breaststroke, Backstroke and 50m Fly.

Dunstable Swimming Club aims to promote the sport of swimming by providing a training program to help swimmers reach their full competitive potential according to their individual levels of ambition, ability and application.
The club caters for swimmers of all ages and abilities with a progressive coaching program leading through our squad structure. Various levels of competition are catered for with training tailored to suit, from in-house galas and team league competitions, through to county, regional and, ultimately, national competition level.
