DSC Welcome Andrew Holland as Assistant Head Coach.
Dunstable Swimming Club are delighted to welcome in 2015 with new Assistant Head Coach Andrew Holland. Andrew comes with a wealth of experience in coaching working at clubs across the county previously including a successful period as assistant head at Modernians Swimming Club.
Andrew becomes the first ever employed assistant head of Dunstable Swimming Club which is testament to the clubs ambition to compete at the highest level. Furthermore Andrew owns the Swim Centre in Bedford, a video analysis swimming flume which the club will look to increase links with.
Head Coach Tim Hutton says ‘ Andy is a great coach and someone that the club has been looking to appoint for some time. I am sure I speak for the committee, coaching team and swimmers in wishing him the best of luck in his role.’
The club looked to appoint Andrew with the club expanding into Houghton Regis Leisure Centre and offering more opportunities for a wider area. Initially he will primarily oversee the development of the younger swimmers in the club.

Dunstable Swimming Club aims to promote the sport of swimming by providing a training program to help swimmers reach their full competitive potential according to their individual levels of ambition, ability and application.
The club caters for swimmers of all ages and abilities with a progressive coaching program leading through our squad structure. Various levels of competition are catered for with training tailored to suit, from in-house galas and team league competitions, through to county, regional and, ultimately, national competition level.

Dunstable Swimming Club currently has spaces in it’s Academy, if you have a keen youngster who is a budding Olympian of the future bring them along for a trial. Trial sessions for the Academy are every Tuesday at 7.45pm or Wednesday at 7.15pm at Dunstable Leisure Centre, and on Sunday mornings at 8am or Monday nights at 6.30pm at Houghton Regis Leisure Centre. The Academy is aimed at children from the age of 7 who have reached a Stage 4-5 ASA standard or who have a basic ability in frontcrawl, backstroke and breaststroke.
